With additional glass tubes you always have some in stock while used ones can go to the dishwasher - or, in case of breaking, you just continue with a shiny new glass tube.

The rubber rings tend to last for very long (especially if you treat them with some plant oil every now and then), but spare ones will come in handy at some point.

Also, you will find extra corks here for closing your glasses. Quick tip: Trenching them in oil will make them even more smell proof.
